Oh, how stupid of me, just a patient at the Phoenix Practice Brampton Grove, Hendon NW4, to think that attitudes deeply embedded in one particular member of the Reception team would change, after negative reviews scattered throughout the review facility. Huffing, puffing, signing and rolling your eyes up to heaven being the response to the most simple of request just won't do! I have had completely unacceptable rudeness before and complained. Subsequent visits to the practise saw a greatly improved attitude but today, I was treated to the fore mentioned performance. What is the problem? Is the Phoenix Practice such an ordeal to work for? As an outsider, I would not have thought so. You are dealing for the most part with people who are feeling ill, have concerns for unwell loved ones, are subject to conditions we experience though out our lives or are really seriously sick, all need to have respect shown at that first point of contact, Reception. Again, I went out onto Brent Street angry by one receptionist's attitude and attitude it is. It's not cranky patients imagination, it's one person making their job a pain for others who are the receivers. Practice fine doctors and nurses, professional and concerned. Could the Practise Manager really look into this situation and I am quite willing to come in person to discuss the matter, as I will contact the surgery next week. I worked for over thirty years as a Professional in Public Sector if I had even hinted at the attitude given out by this particular person I would have been blown out. With Thanks and hopefully this matter will receive reasonable attention.

After the rude attitude I got not once, not twice but 3 times within a week from the black mid 30s female receptionist (I don't know her name) I really feel the need to write this review. On the first occasion I thought, maybe she's having a bad day. However she has been consistently rude, patronising, unhelpful. It feels as if she just wants to demonstrate power over patients by ordering them around, being overly abrupt, aggressive and telling patients that they are wrong. She's liked a wicked teacher at school, completely overly aggressive and honestly I'm put off returning to the surgery because I don't want to have to deal with her ever again. I can see many other reviews of this surgery which refer to the "overly abrupt and rude receptionist" so there's a pattern here, she's clearly "looking for a fight" but please don't take out your aggression on people simply wanting to book appointments or get seen by a GP. It's not a big ask.

I have found all the staff I have dealt with at the surgery helpful and efficient. The service has consistently been approachable and friendly. I was particularly impressed with the fast response times to queries I made around referrals. A really impressive team.

Please will the doctors at the Phoenix Practice look into the performance of one of their receptionists, she is abrupt and abrasive letting the team badly down. Also, I wish the nurses at the practice would stop fobbing me off with sample tubes of creams when i have a continuing skin complaint. Next time I am going to take an appointment to see the doctor. Basically a bit sloppy round the edges at the Phoenix.

I've had a CT scan at Royal Free on the 20th of April. After 2 weeks I went back to see if they have the report and they've said to me they have it but I have to go to my GP to ask them to send a fax to ask for the report because they will not give it to me. I have been to Phoenix practice in the same day, on the 4th of May to tell them what was the issue. Phoenix Practice has told me the secretary will chase them up and she will contact me after. Nothing has happened for a week and I had to call them back on the 11th of may. they've told me the same story...the secretary will contact you. I still didn't hear anything from them. How lazy can you be and inconsiderate? Completely amateurs! Go and wash some dishes if the current job is not for you!!!
